How to measure your bra size

Believe it or not, 80% of women wear the wrong size bra. The most common mistake is wearing a size group is too large, and / or cup size is too small. Although the average size bra is often quoted as 36C, most people who wear this size should actually wear a bra 34D 34DD. Cup sizes are relative to the size of the band, a D cup, for example, is not the same size in every bra. A 32D is the same size as a 34C or 36B, but on a smaller structure. A 28F is actually 2 cup small size of 38D. You may not think you're being busty, but in moving to a smaller band, you find that you need a larger size cup.

Your bra size changes as your weight fluctuates with the seasons and years. Sometimes you go so long wearing a specific size that you do not realize that it is not much and you stop noticing the discomfort. If you are looking for a better fit, here's how to find your size.

Important note - measurements used in the steps in this guide refer to bra size of the United Kingdom. Arms Though U.S. companies are theoretically the same system, there is considerable variation between brands, if you're in the U.S. you may find you need a larger size band and / or size over cup to the one shown here. For example, A 32E of the United Kingdom may be equivalent to one U.S. 34DD or 36D.

PROCEDURE

  1. Wear your best supporting bra. Bra does not fit perfectly. The goal is to get your breasts to the position that the bra would be ideal to support the weight suspended comfortably. This step is optional, however, if you do not find a bra with good support, continue with the measures.
  2. Measure around your band. Run a tape measure around your body just below your breasts and take a measurement in inches. Make sure the tape measure is horizontal and fairly comfortable. Your arms should be down. Round to the nearest even number. This should be the size of your group. For example, if you measured 31 inches, the size of your group should be 32. If you measured 34.5 inches, the size of your group should be 34.

Many guides mounting bra tell you to add four or five inches to your underbust measure, but it is not correct. The old method was designed in the 1930s when bra design was in its infancy and does not work with modern arms.

3. Measure your bust circumference. Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust in inches (not too tight or the measure is false). If you do not have a bra, or if you have is very poorly fitting, bend over so your back is parallel to the floor and measure around your chest, your nipples. Around this measure to the nearest.

4. Calculate your cup size. Subtract the measurement of the size of the band bust measurement and determine your cup size as follows: (The calculation of the size of the cut may be less accurate for larger cup sizes.)

  • 1. less than 1 inch = AA cup
  • 2. 1 inch = A cup
  • 3. 2 inches = B cup
  • 4. 3 inches = C cup
  • 5. 4 inches = D Cup
  • 6. 5 inches = DD cup
  • 7. 6 inches = E Cup (U.S. DDD)
  • 8. 7 inches = F Cup (U.S. DDDD)
  • 9. 8 inches = FF cup
  • 10. 9 inches = G Cup

4. Try a bra with the size of the band and cup size you've arrived at these stages. Because he can.
