Air Force Mess Dress

I have a ball for my military JROTC unit coming soon. We are a unit of the Air Force, and the mess of a dress worn cumberbund. My Sargent has a wrinkled, and you're supposed to be worn with the pleats facing up or down, but only a means thoose is correct. He said he could raise intentionally upside down, and he who received an award notice. anybodyknow how it goes? i cannot seem to find anywhere else ....
