MarketplaceDo It Flops Work With most fashionable thongs come out each year, is still appropriate to wear flip flops to work? Each summer, flip flops got fancier. These are not flip flops or a single sheet of color weird rubber / plastic you carry in the local swimming pool or shower. Many sandals have tissues that can not get wet. With the new styles for flip flops coming out, you feel it is never acceptable to wear them to work in the workplace? Most places, I would say no. I am a massage therapist (I did it more because so many people are downsizing), but we wear them because they are easy to get on and off. Most of us do barefoot.That massage is the only job I ever had if it was not serious. I think the main reason employers do not like for you to wear them for safety and hygiene reasons. If you are able to bring to your work, PLEASE get a pedicure first! What are you talking about? Flips flops are simple and should remain so if it would be totally against their seemingly totally relaxed. thongs are associated with a relaxed attitude and relaxed. Also should never appear in a professional setting. Unless you work as a pool I do not see elsewhere that you can wear flip flops to work. I work in a professional office and I saw people wearing thongs (boys and girls). I have a pair of flip flops that I wear casual Friday. Nobody ever said anything to anyone. It depends how you wear them well. I will wear with a dress or walking shorts. I never wear them to work with John. When I wear jeans on casual Friday, I always give it heals a little more dressed look. No, unless you work in a very casual workplace or if you work at the beach shop (shop on a boardwalk). its best to wear business shoes, open toes may be authorized. You do not want to be faced with bad choices, like your shoes. Try to keep them out of work, unless you know they are acceptable. Also, think of it this way, if you ask someone the answer is probably no. I do not think so. There are other flat sandals that can get you to wear to work, but flip-flops, whatever mode, must remain outside the workplace.
