2. Let your boyfriend to sniff the suit he had on him for a minute, praise him and give him a treat. Do this several times. Every day, follow this procedure, leaving the costume on longer each time.

3. Loosely put the costume on your dog and repeat what you have done in the instructions above. A minute at first, then gradually take longer increments. Accompany this with a lot of sweets and lots of praise.

1. The correct positioning is important - not too tight or binding.

2. Do not interfere with breathing, hearing, sight, movement or barking.

3. Costumes should not cause overheating.

5. A dog must at no time be left unattended when wearing a costume.

6. All rubber bands should be removed immediately.

1. Be aware that your dog does not escape when you open your door to trick-or-caterers.

2. If your dog gets accidentally, wearing a reflector could prevent injuries from a car.

3. If your dog escapes, make sure it has an identification tag on.

4. Remember to have your friend on a leash, crates or in another room where cunning and caterers are out and about.

5. Candy and packaging will be everywhere on Halloween, but they must be kept away from pets. A chew toy or therapy dog should keep happy so he does not feel left out.

1. Every Halloween pets are injured, stolen, tormented and tortured. It is important not to let your dog outside on Halloween.

2. If you walk your dog Halloween night, be aware of what he can pick up along the road.
