Knit Stockings

I try to do the thigh-high lace bottom, but can not find a pattern in lace. Or if you know a lace pattern that is easy to grow, or how to grow in a lace pattern. A model of socks knee socks would do well also, I can see how to increase. I search far for a model but I still get Christmas stockings or hats. PLEASE HELP ME!
