im 17 weeks of pregnancy does not show much, but enough that my pants were regular DONT good .... I maternity pants, but the group is in the top right of my navel does not that mean its squishing the baby?

No, Bubba is safe in your belly. :) Try to get to sit on or under your belly? Those that I find most comfortable ones where that sat just below my belly, they had a V-shaped, downward, then it was just losely on the bottom of my stomach, very comfortable !

Personally, I love the jeans under the belly maternity cut and pants and find these more comfortable. Usually you can find me in the funds or sweat pants PJ-well! : D

No you're not squishing the baby. There are a lot of fluid surrounding the baby soo it would be almost impossible for you to squish your pants.

No, I wear my pants any normal pregnancy and I am HUGE! I was wearing low cut boy leg and it was beautiful

No honey, it can not squish the baby. Your baby is well protected by a thick wall of the uterus, amniotic fluid, etc.. :)

I prefer the maternity pants that go up though. I can not stand anything on my navel during pregnancy.

Do not wear anything that you do not feel comfortable in. pregnancies end uterous grows above the navel (I feel the baby move the legs above my navel and skin is tense, again) and the head is at the bottom. (38 weeks today)
