How do I fix a speedometer motorcycle? I have a 1400 Suzuki Intruder bike. The needle of the meter set to 0 mph. How can I solve this problem? (I do not have much mechanical ability).
generally you do ..... inless the cable broke .... thats most likely the problem ...........
According to the previous answer. Follow the cable behind the speedometer is at the wheel or motor side. Unscrew the Speedo and check that the cable is square. If yes, check the other end. One side is rounded.
Mechanical devices very rarely die. They come out of calibration.
On every bike I ever owned, I broke the speedometer cable odometer /. Yours has become stalled from your dashboard (what happened to me too), or it is broken. Find a slack rope. If it's dangling, you should be able to see how the back on the bottom of the dashboard.
You Don t say who the year but it seems that the cable is Speedo worn.If it, s LCD read this could be a fuse gone.
If the cable, check both ends of the cable, if properly placed, you must replace the cable. If it is digital, it must be the fuse, replace it. If nothing happens, be prepared to spend more to fix it.
