Police Uniform Ribbons

I noticed recently on the news and the TV show "Cops" more and more of these police officers have ribboons ON uniforms. I was wondering if any law enforcement agency may ask their people to put on their uniforms when the ribbons are not the police action?

They ribbons enforcement citation. All branches of the U.S. armed forces have imposed rules barring against regulations to wear military ribbons on any other uniform than the military uniform.

I suspect that these tapes are commendations for money earned to their duties under the law.

There are no plans that I know in the federal law that would allow police officers to wear their ribbons on their uniforms military civilians. (I think there is a provision for Congressional Medal of Honor to wear, but not for other scholarships.)

Thus many conjecture. So little know. Police tape different prices (and not use them all, by all means) for all sorts of things. It could be a reward for his bravery. Or the line of duty injury. They could mean a special training, EMT, Rangemaster, instructor, K-9, etc. They could mean years of service.

It is possible that some may duplicate one of the many military models, but this is not intentional. Members may regulate bringing his own staff, but have no authority to regulate how others use their badges or uniforms. Example: an enlisted man can not impersonate an officer by wearing an officer's rank and uniform. But no federal or military suppressed a civilian, for example, wears the uniform of a naval officer to pick up women or working a scam.
