Roller Hockey

Roller HockeyRink Hockey?

I started my career in hockey and roller hockey than what was on the ice. I have not been on skates in four years. I am a goalkeeper. I have lots of friends new girl ice hockey, and some of them play hockey skates. They go to the Jr. Olympics. at the end of July. They need me to be their goalie! Eek! I accepted because I will not let my girls down. However, ice and roller skates are two different things. I've been playing roller hockey opened once a week for about one month, it's hard. I have many questions:

Is it easy to work with smaller wheels?
Should I consider goalie inline skates?
What should I wear under my pads?
How can train for that?
What techniques do I need to worry?
What is the biggest difference between ice and roller skates?
I have ice machines, is this a downfall for me?

If there are guards roller hockey here, I would stuff!

Thank you!

As someone who played roller hockey competition before, I can not answer your questions.

Your best bet is to goalie pads and smaller wheels.

Wear pants under your roller hockey pads, ensuring that low pants have a little slack in them for the movement.

Ice gear is great if you play on SportCourt.

Your footwork is different. When you move laterally, you have to pad the lead point where you go. Recovery is easier with the increased grip of speech. In addition, the greatest thing you probably noticed is that if you try to slide, it does not work that way. It's ok, you learn to adjust, mainly by staying on your skates more.

Also, do not be dismayed by the high scores. Roller hockey is much more open than ice hockey, and higher score. Also, remember that it will be 4-a-side, not 5-a-side, as in ice, and 2-in-1 are not your friend.

Moreover, contrary to popular belief, high-level roller hockey is played with a plastic washer, not a bullet.

I agree with Kaotik, I played roller hockey and competitive since 1997.

If you play in a tournament, you'll probably play "No Offside", so beware of the latter. Flag

smalller wheels help much because it is much easier to move, since you do not have to lift your feet as much. If I were you, I goalie skates, as I have said it is much easier on inline skates, goalie. under your pads, many people wear shin guards. if you want to train, just go out and play roller hockey, as much as you can. get as many shots on you other people you can and help you improve very quickly. you need to know how the throttle position, you should also know how to use your blocker and glove. biggest difference is rougher material, and the ice is more slippery, making it easier to slide along the fold. Well, the earth-ice is a little heavier, so you might get warmer, and it will be harder to move. GOOD LUCK!

Well, if you have not played with inline skates a little more to the net so you do not get out of position. A skate guards are good for Reebok 5ks. I posted my sources in the product. In addition, for the use of platelet ice bottom-end and high end treadmills. The biggest difference is that the surface is always the same texture if the bounces of the ball will be about the same if it takes the guesswork out of positioning. For training only "situations", mainly cons 5 5 5vs.3 's 2vs.2' s, and shootouts. Concern about reflexes, because the ball is faster than a puck. Also work on your glove and Blocke.
