Shapley Figures

Taking my pony with me this summer when I go to work at a riding camp, and I figure this is a great opportunity to really work on growing his mane and tail since I'll be at the barn all day. How often should I use MTG Shapley? Is it true that I should apply it at night if it will be shot during the day? Is there something that works better? All I can do more Shapley? Some told me not to comb, but then he'll go out and tied when I comb the braid shows.

We use MTG constantly and never had any problems. I use it in queues I set up. I'm going through tons in the winter when I'm trying to get the most growth. I let my tail for one month at a time. I think the less I take most of their growth. Once a month, they wash down or just finger combed and MTG reapplied. During the show season tails are up between shows and I put the MTG during these times too.

I do not often use it in the mane just because I hate the smell and feel of it. The only time I use it on the mane, is when the horse has real problems with extreme failure, even after we put the mane braided. In these cases, I braid the mane with cotton strips and put the MTG on the ridge and just hope it does not spread by braids LOL

The other thing that can work, if does not want to use the MTG is just for the tail and mane braided with pieces of cotton cloth. Never use rubber bands as they break the hair. You want to remember never to be combing the mane or tail, but "finger" comb two .. You will not get much more than the growth without the MTG but at least you should get the break and stopped making new shoots.

Be careful when you use MTG. My friend used it on his horse and he was bald! We used vitamin E oil on it, and he rejected as a weed! It works amazing.
