Smartwool

I heard that Smartwool socks are not as good as they used to be and wear out quickly.

I Thorlo socks and wool Smart. They wear like any other socks. I prefer the fit of the thorlos, the leg portion has a better hold of the glove.

Dude for hiking in the summer I just wear cotton socks and tennis shoes just change your socks every day

They are all great socks. SmartWool socks have actually improved a lot last year. They are much more severe. I had some for about 4 years I am just now replacing. Regarding those who are the best of it depends. Thorlo Wigwam and come in different materials. If you want to wool I think Smartwool socks are the best built and best adapt. Wool is ideal for hiking all year. It keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. However, if your feet are very sweaty, you can watch them synthetic socks from Wigwam and Thorlo. Wigwam socks is really nice called Comfort Hikers that are similar to the average thickness SmartWool cushion. These will keep your feet cool and can absorb much sweat. Cotton socks are not a good idea. Who said that we should not ride often or never tried wool or synthetic and how they are superior to cotton. I hope it helped.

Thorlo I personally ... padding the bottom is better ... get the top high, but ... do not fool with the low-cut or not to see ... they protect your ankles better

All three brands are excellent products, in my opinion. Look for what you can get the sale, because these kinds of socks are pretty spendy (but worth it).

I second wool is one of the best materials on the market. Cool in summer and warm in winter (and retains its insulating ability wet).

I'm serious addict sox (my friends tease me dozens of pairs that I own) and I can say I have several models by the three companies, and like them all. I think some wigwams not stand as well - used to wear heels because they "enhanced" with a nylon line which tends to break the wool fibers and make the bald area. But I bought this pair last years have been greatly improced. My complaint is that some Thorlos ankle is too tight to verify the model you are considering before buying them - I do not have my movement restricted by upper rib tight. In fact, my favorite socks are underway by Bridgedale - wool blends really great, upholstery and sewing feet flat areas. I found some good deals on them in odd places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, believe it or not - less than half the cost of outfitting stores.

The best socks for hiking socks are Icebreaker. I used five pairs when I walk on the first 1200 miles of the PCT and I did not wear them. They are slightly more expensive than SmartWool, but they are much better quality. They also come in more than several shades of gray.

Several times in my career in outdoor, test equipment, find what works best for me to type out, I brought my regular socks and several offers, then Hi-tec. I tried to say things about the destruction of and understand what attributes has worked for me.
My brothers were among the same thing and came with different results.

Walking is the third original form of moving ... underway, crawling, walking, riding, driving. Ever.
And not be stuck with a port issued army stuff, like best. What works. For me.
