MarketplaceTartan Socks Tips Tartan Tartan is in town this fall and winter, which is fabulous for all of you with Scottish or Irish ancestors, but perhaps more of a challenge for everyone! Even if you have a family tartan, the colors are not necessarily suitable for you. I'm lucky enough to fall into this category and my father's family have their own tartan and color combinations me! Tartan is not enough to be kilts and sporrans, with knee socks and bagpipes, though of course it can look fabulous at an appropriate time. Most of the tartan available in retail outlets is not the whole clan official, the designers have used their own color combinations, so do not feel you can not wear the tartan just because you do not ancestry. Once you have checked the colors that suit you, (a color consultant can help you with this), there are several things to keep in mind when purchasing your tartan. You need to think carefully about the style of the element, the pattern size and shape of your body. The geometric "shape" of the tartan is best suited to "rectangular" or "lean body shape column. Curvy bodies do not fit this model quite so well, but fear a tartan scarf or handbag Additional color is all it takes to make a fashion statement. There are a lot of tartan tights around, but it is really for young people with long slender legs. Tartan boots and shoes can be found in some shops, just make sure that suits your style of leg length. Tartan is not cup of tea for everyone so do not feel obliged to go all the way!
