Uniform Franchise Offering Circular

Are there laws that say you can not have two types of franchises? Where can I find answers?

Doubtful there's a law, but there may be contractual issues. When obtaining a franchise, the main company may have rules regarding the operation and other things they feel may be detrimental to this franchise. Read the contract of the franchise (s) you might be interested in obtaining. A lawyer would be a good idea to make sure you understand all that "fine print".
